Our College has a diverse community that is rich in academic, spiritual, familial and community wealth and the Kingsway Christian College Parents and Friends (P&F) group seek to combine these attributes for the optimum benefit of us all, and to foster a strong Christian atmosphere in our College. The P&F meets monthly in the Johnson Room at the College to discuss the calendar of events, fundraising, College improvement initiatives and other College community matters. We urge you to bring your gifts and to come and serve with us, to continue to bring kindness, collaboration, community and Christ to our College. We encourage you to be part of our group and to embrace our objectives – to serve our community and build its value to the College, to ourselves and to our children. “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us and are urged to use these gifts as we have been granted them.” (Romans 12:6) For further information or to volunteer please contact pandf@kcc.wa.edu.au Blessings, P&F
P&F Values and Objectives
In 2019, the P&F chose to reflect on our role within the College community and our values and objectives as we move forward. We have redefined our objectives as follows: Kindness Collaboration Community
Kindness
We aim to model kindness in all our endeavours, to treat all members with kindness and respect. We extend our kindness and welcome to new members of our College and provide opportunities to celebrate with our community. “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” (Hebrews 13:2)
Collaboration
We collaborate with school leaders and staff to optimise learning and opportunities for all students and with the community to build a better environment for our students to engage in. We collaborate with the wider community to provide opportunities for new knowledge and experiences for our school. “I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.” (1 Corinthians 1:10)
Community
We aim to encourage and promote inclusion and belonging in our community. We seek to model Christ like servitude to both our school and the wider community and to bring the message of Christ to others. “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” (Romans 12:4-5)
