Primary Years

At Kingsway Christian College, we understand that the Primary years of schooling from Years 3 to 6 are critical to a child’s learning and build on the strong foundation set by our passionate and devoted teachers. We realise that children learn best in a nurturing and caring environment catering for their distinct learning styles. Children are encouraged to achieve their best by challenging themselves in a safe environment.

Our Teachers

Our teachers provide a stimulating and engaging learning environment which differentiates the teaching and learning to meet the needs of individual learners. Through an integrated inquiry approach to learning, our students formulate questions and share their ideas. This approach helps them to foster curiosity and to develop their critical and creative thinking skills. Classroom teachers work closely with Specialist teachers across areas including Educational Support and Enrichment, Physical Education, Music, Visual Art, Drama, French and Information Technology. All students’ wellbeing is vital to our College with relationships nurtured and developed through our URStrong Friendship programme.

Partnering with Parents

Parents have an important role to play in our Primary School and are encouraged to participate in helping in the classroom, on class excursions and sports days. Parents are encouraged to communicate with class teachers so that a strong partnership is developed between the school and families. By partnering with Kingsway, families feel at peace knowing that their beliefs are respected and understood.
